 Bed bugs

        How to identify:

Adult bugs are reddish brown in color; their size is from 6 to 10 mm (1/4 to 3/8 inch) in length; their width is almost equivalent to their length. They are about the size of an apple seed. Young bugs can be very small; they are very difficult to see.

Bed bugs have no wings and cannot fly. Bedbugs can move very quickly on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.

         What are harmful:

Household or otherwise bed bugs feed on human blood, leaving bites, redness on the skin and causing a lot of discomfort. Itching from a bite deprives a person of full sleep, makes him aggressive, nervous, and reduces concentration. But, besides this, bed bugs can cause really serious health problems.

In the body of bed bugs, pathogens of various infectious and invasive diseases caused by them (plague, typhus and relapsing fever, tularemia, coxiellosis - Q fever) can persist. It has been established that bed bugs can be carriers of the hepatitis B virus when feeding.
