Sparrows
How to identify:
The color of the plumage of sparrows is gray, brown and black. The belly is grayish-green, the head, back and wings are brown with white and black patches.
Sparrows are distinguished by a cone-shaped beak, short rounded wings, and a truncated tail. The sparrow's legs are short, bald, with weak claws. Feather dense, silky.
What are harmful:
Sparrows are pest birds. They eat cherries, grapes, cherries, raspberries, strawberries, gooseberries. They come to the garden in search of shadberry, currant, honeysuckle. They peck at sea-buckthorn, mountain ash, viburnum, hawthorn, and in the garden - peas, beans. On roses, birds tear off large petals to build nests.
